She owned and operated Lappert’s Ice Cream and Coffee in the Rancho Shopping Center, Los Altos where she built many lasting relationships with her customers.  Kerry committed years of her life to being a foster parent for the County of Santa Clara. She fostered seven special and beautiful children and is still very much involved in her foster children’s lives.

She has been married to Scott for over thirty years who recently retired as the Police and Fire Chief of Mountain View.  He now works in tech here in the valley. Their three children include two sons, Kyle and Grant, who both attended Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose and her daughter, Paige, who attended Castilleja in Palo Alto.  Kyle who attended school locally at Stanford is a software engineer at Facebook and is married to Kerry’s “mini-me” Alexandra, who is a rising star at Salesforce. Grant played division 1 basketball at the United States Naval Academy and graduated with a degree in cyber operations. He is now a LT in the United States Navy. Paige attended and played basketball at Yale graduating in 2019. She now lives in Austin working for Apple as a manger in crisis management. They all went from kindergarten to eighth grade at Saint Simon School in Los Altos. Her children inspire her to continue to serve others, especially her clients.

The art of negotiation is a formidable skill that separates successful, professional Realtors from those who just sell houses. Another skill that no Realtor can do without today is the ability to utilize the newest technologies to effectively buy and sell homes; this is especially important in the local market.

In helping people find the home of their dreams, Kerry uses the Multiple Listing Service as well as her personal, local well-connected network to uncover any and all off-market offerings. She is an expert at staging and even helping clients through the moving process.

Whether you are looking to buy or sell a home, you can put your trust in Kerry Vermeer, who's eager to help you achieve your real estate dreams and protect your investment. She is licensed and practicing as a Realtor in both California and Texas.
